A programme on Jawaharlal National Urban Renewal Mission for Municipal Corporation, Shimla and other officers of State Govt was organised w.ef. 31.8.2006 to 2.9.2006. 9 officers from different departments and 7 Councillors from the Municipal Corporation, Shimla attended the programme.

A Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme on Disaster Management was organised from 4^th to 8^th  September, 2006.  The ToT was attended by the 27 Officers from various departments of the state government including Engineers, Revenue officers, Home Guards and Police officers besides 3 elected functionaries of Zila Parishads.

HIPA in collaboration with the National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad organized a training programme on ‘Participation of Youth in Rural Development’ from 11^th to 16^th  September 2006. Dr. C.S. Singhal and Dr. T. Vijay Kumar from NIRD, Hyderabad conducted the programme. Participants from Uttar Pradesh and  Haryana attended the programme besides those from Himachal Pradesh.
