A Group of RD & PR Functionaries from
Arunachal Pradesh on a study tour to Himachal Pradesh from
3.12.2006 to 10.12.2006 arrived in the Institute. The Group
was given an overview of Himachal Pradesh, status and
strategies of Rural Development with special reference to
watershed programme besides the status of Panchayati Raj.
The visit being organized by the SIRD Arunachal Pradesh is
being hosted by HIPA with the assistance of Department of
Rural Development, H.P. Apart from briefing sessions in HIPA
the group will be visiting the Districts of Kullu, Kangra
and Hamirpur as part of their field visits.

During their field visits in Himachal
Pradesh, Group will have interactive sessions with
the elected representatives of Zila Parishad/ DRDA/Block
Officers on Rural Development with special reference
to Watershed Development Programmes in the Districts
of Kullu, Kangra and Hamirpur. |
