Applications are invited for filling up the following posts from eligible male Indian Nationals in the Railways Protection Special Force on an all India basis. The number of vacancies, scales of pay and the requisite qualification of each post are indicated below:-

The pay scales of above category is Rs. 2610-60-3150-65-3540/- except Tailor & Mochi, whose pay scale is 3050-75-3950-80-4590/-
Physical Standards :-
(a) Height Minimum : General Category : 165 Cm.
Scheduled Caste : 160 Cm.
Schedule Tribe : 150 Cm.
(b) Chest : Unexpanded : General Category : 80 Cm.
Scheduled Caste : 76.2 Cm.
Schedule Tribe : 76.2 Cm.
Chest :Expanded : General Category : 85 Cm.
Scheduled Caste : 81.2 Cm.
Schedule Tribe : 81.2 Cm.
(c) Weight Minimum : Scheduled Caste : 50 Kg.
Schedule Tribe : 48 Kg.
AGE : Must be above the age of 18 years, but below the age of 25 years as on 01.11.2001. Relaxation by five years will be given to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates and three years in the case of OBC candidates.
Educational Qualifications : The candidate should have passed 8th class or equivalent examination.
Trade Test : The candidates will be tested for proficiency in the Trade against which they have applied.
Service Conditions :- The selected candidates will be posted any where in Indian Railway and will be governed by RPF Rules & Regulations and other extant orders issued from time to time.
How to Apply :- Applications on the prescribed Proforma (attached) should be sent to Commanding Officer, No.6 Battalion/RPSF, Dayabasti Delhi by registered post or by hand as to reach on or before 31.1.2002 will crossed postal order Rs. 10/- for General and OBC Category payable to F.A.&C.A.O./Northern Railway, New Delhi. The application forms received after 30th November, 2001 will be summarily rejected.

OBC Candidates should submit OBC Certificate in the prescribed form as given below :-

(a) The Term "Ordinarily" used here will have the same meaning as in section 20 of the representation of the people act, 1950.
(b) The authorities competent to issue Caste Certificate are indicated below :-
(i) District Magistrate/Additional Magistrate/Collector/Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner/Deputy Collector/First Class Stipentry Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/Extra Assistant Commissioner (Not below the rank of First Class Stipentry Magistrate).
(ii) Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/Presidency Magistrate..
(iii) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehisdar.
(iv) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area, where the candidate and /or his family resides.
Important Instructions and documents to be attached :-
(1) Two attested copies of passport size photographs. One to be pasted on the space provided on the application and other be attached with format.
(2) Date of birth & educational qualification certificates.
(3) SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable.
(4) Crossed Postal Order Rs. 10/- for General and OBC Category payable to F.A.&C.A.O./Northern Railway, New Delhi.
(5) Two self-addressed envelopes of 27.5x12.5 with three rupees postal stamps affixed on each of them with the application. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letter as " Application for the post of ..............................(WC/WM/Cob/Tailor/SW etc.) in RPSF" on the top of left side corner.
(6) Incomplete and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily rejected at any stage.
(7) Attach only attested photocopies of Certificates with application form and original certificates are to be produced at the time of selection/interview.
(8) One candidate can apply for one category only and make his own arrangement for stay i.e. 2.3. days at the time of recruitment.
