Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha proposes to fill up one post of reporter (English), unreserved, in the pay scale of Rs. 7220-11660 plus Rs. 400/- Secretariat Allowance (Gazetted Class-I) for which applications are invited from eligible candidates in the format given below which should reach in this Secretariat on or before 30-03-2002 alongwith Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates) payable at Shimla to Secretary, H.P. Vidhan Sabha Shimla-4. 1. Essential qualifications: A graduate of a recognised University with shorthand speed in English at 160 words per minute and typing speed in English at 60 words per minute. 2. Desirable: Having experience of reporting either in Committee or of Assembly debates. Should have studied Hindi upto Matriculation standard/or knowledge of Hindi upto matriculation standard. Preference will be given to the candidates having bilingual (English & Hindi) knowledge of shorthand and typing at the required speed. 3. Age limit: Candidates must be within the age group of 18 to 45 years as on 1.1.2002. However relaxation in age is admissible for reserved categories and departmental candidates as per rules. 4. Candidates having knowledge of customs, traditions, history and dialect of Himachal Pradesh will be given preference. 5. Those in Government or Semi-Government service should apply through their appointing authorities however the applications/advance copies complete in all respects, alongwith fee must reach this Secretariat on or before 30-3-2002. 6. Written test/interview for English Reporter will be held on 17.4.2002 at 10.00 AM in this Secretariat. No separate call letters will be sent for test/interview. 7. Candidates should attach two latest passport size coloured photographs and attested copies of certificates/testimonials of age & qualification with the application.
